This visual identity was developed for a youtube channel that will house a variety of web series, starting with its own tongue-in-cheek animated production of 1001 Arabian Nights.

The task was to create a primary visual identity for the StoryStringer parent brand, and a secondary identity for 1001 Arabian Nights (featuring an intentionally rough, collage-style animation aesthetic). The challenge was to create enough differentiation between the two entities to accommodate future productions under the StoryStringer umbrella, while still retaining a level of familiarity and brand recognition between studio and production. The resulting identity incorporates a patchwork of StoryStringer fonts and retro-digital graphic elements which will be used throughout other productions. Evoking the nostalgia of beloved after school specials from the 80’s and 90’s and utilizing the “anti-design” aesthetic of youtube, this brand appeals to an audience of both Millennials and Gen Z.
